Vegans seem to cop some flack on here, but I’d love to be vegan. I feel like a really hypocritical animal lover while I still eat meat and dairy... fact is I absolutely love it. Most of my vegan friends said they didn’t like meat anyway, so are on a good foot to start with

Would you feel the same about vegetables if you enjoyed gardening?

Tbh I'm a huge contradiction in every way ...

I eat Meat , lots of it .

I'm an avid anti cruelty to animals fanatic .

And I'm a butcher !!

But being in this trade teaches you a lot about the methods of slaughter so we choose our stock carefully

I eat meat, but abore animal cruelty, at least I know I am a hypocrite. I do choose British though, where the welfare standards are better, outdoor reared pork, free range eggs etc.

I enjoy meat but as you said don’t like to see unnecessary suffering to animals. I wouldn’t want to become a vegan for the same reason as yourself.

You could view the cramped transport of animals and being led in to slaughter as unnecessary really, unless you deem that as necessary?

till it came out my ears,

But saying that our beef is not trying to kill you,

Maybe you should come over here when everything settles down and kick start your beef love affair again.

I can recommend any FXB restaurants in Dublin, they grow slaughter and serve their own,,, order the 33oz ribeye,

Your welcome in advance.

Sometimes it’s recommended to supplement with a vegan B12 and vitamin D.

I’ve never supplemented and donate blood regularly - they check your blood beforehand and I’ve always been good to go, they’re usually surprised I’m vegan.

No issues with iron levels and fortunate enough to not have needed to go to the doctor in a very long time.

I’d have thought he’d have stated religious reasons rather than saying he hates it.

I don’t eat meat, but I do eat fish.

I was a hard core veggie for 9 years, then went back to eating meat after I got sick, but a couple of years ago I took meat out of my diet again. I feel healthier not eating it, and I’ve never really enjoyed meat anyway.

When veggie about one and half year ago and wouldn't go back to eating it. Cut down on dairy and plan to go vegan!

I can't stomach the pain these animals go through or the fear they may feel! Makes me so sad!

I'm building muscle without animal protein so I'm happy with that. I mean have you tried beyond meat burgers.... Sooo good!

Keep trying to go veggie, definitely lowered my red meat consumption. Just find it difficult to get veggie recipes that are tasty and filling and don't involve lots of ingredients and steps.

Yes, my family and I are meat eaters although we have two veggie meals a week because I believe it's a healthier option. I struggle to find interesting meals to make otherwise I'd do it more often.

We had a Tescos vegan burger last week which was lovely but my guts paid for it the next day, plus there was loads of some kind of fat that came out of it. I was really surprised about that.

Fish is possibly as bad for the environment as farming for meat. On the whole, fish aren’t farmed, so dwindling fish stocks are causing shortages of food for the predators that would naturally eat them.
