Love or Money......

So if you could only have one in your life, which would you choose?

If you choose money,it will be in abundance, you will never want for anything again and can have whatever you desire that money can buy....but,you will never have love.

However,if you choose love,it will be forever and 100% true....but,you will forever struggle to make ends meet....

Probably love then but it's not easy to live part of your life with the bare minimum let alone all of it so I'm glad it's not a choice I have to make.

Depends. Would it be true true?

Would it be faithful?

Would it moan about the financial struggle and blame me?

If we're talking guarantee of a "perfect" relationship with no insecurity, cheating and all the other stuff that's seemingly fucking "normal" then yeah, I'd head there.

Other than that, fuck it. I'll take the money and vanish with my besties to an island with just us, all we need and wildlife.

Love is beautiful but is hard to maintain when you're grindingly poor. Having been there I can tell you the "we was poor but we was 'appy" trope is horseshit.

With money but without love I can still have passion, respect, amity, fellowship - if I need more I'll buy myself a puppy.

"Love all the way. Possessions are meaningless in the end. "

As I've said before, possessions are meaningless but money has bought an awful lot of fun, given charities funds that do good for others, helped friends, given experiences that money CAN buy......there are different types of love and money DOES 'buy' (but its generosity, not 'buying') love of other sorts that can be just as fulfilling.

I've neither money nor love (aside from friends, my son and my dad)

Yes money makes things more comfortable of course, however it can leave you empty without any love.

I've been on my knees financially (I'm talking food bank and no electricity on my knees) and the love of friends and my doggo got me through.

If the question had doubts that the love of a partner would be the loyal, non cheaty kind then I'd have defo gone for money tho, but not if it meant losing my friends.

"Love all the way. Possessions are meaningless in the end. "

Money pays for a lot more than just physical stuff.

Having been without both, I know from experience which one I missed, and it was money.

Love doesn't stop you starving. Love doesn't stop you being homeless. Love doesn't stop you dying from exposure in a shop doorway because you can't afford to participate in society.

All of my problems can be fixed with money. All of my desires can be fulfilled with money. Money can help people in a way that my love can't.

As I say whenever anyone brings up the noxious "Money can't buy you happiness" rubbish: Give me all of your money and prove it.
