"Some want attention from men. Some want attention and appreciation from women. Some do it to feel good for themselves and no-one else. Some men think that women who dress in a revealing way are 'up for it'. "

"Do you think women dress more revealing to get more attention " I think that's what men think, and that's where the unwanted attention thing comes from. "Look at her lads, she's gagging for it" I wear clothes that I feel good in at the time. I wear them for me.

"Do you think women dress more revealing to get more attention " Most women choose to dress the way they want just because they want to, not for the attention women. By the same token, why do men chose to have a photo of a woman performing with them on a male single profile? We know that it isn't against the rules, but why is it needed?

"As long as you are happy in what you dress in that’s what matters of others like it all well and good if not then tough !" We had a 'crazy dress up day' at work where we had to wear the weirdest thing we could think of. No-one thought my outfit was weird (for me)!

"I actually wear less revealing clothes when I go out than I’d like to, because I know if I where the clothes I want to I’ll get too much attention of the wrong sort. And if I get assaulted everyone will say I was “asking for it”." Definitely. I have a certain aesthetic which leans conservative anyway, but I do spare some thought for "will people think I'm asking for it if I dress a certain way"

I rarely have those moods but I'd love to have the freedom to. At the moment there's no way.

"Do men not wear clothes for attention then?" Men do at times, I did a gig in 3 piece suit, shirt n' tie, so very heavy rock. The band thought I'd lost it! I had more people come up & chat to me afterwards than any gig before! It was a talking point & it broke the ice, did the trick & got attention. Next time I played there I borrowed & wore waders & fishing boots!

And if I get assaulted everyone will say I was “asking for it”." Absolutely! Half the reason I love clubs is that for me it's a safe place to dress as provocatively as I'd like but without the judgement and unwanted touching I would get if I dressed like that in a nightclub or something.

I think it's sexual attention the op is aiming at.
