When I took the decision to drop out if uni and go it alone for a while. I still got the career I wanted and grew. Although I still say that I'm a child many ways. X

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I was born aged 42 and spent all of those years just getting there. All the years since turning 42 I have been getting younger and less adult.

The day I gave birth to my beautifull daughter and didn't get to hold her as she was rushed into scbu, terrifying and life altering and everything changed from that moment, responsibility, true fear, so many emotions all at once. When I eventually got to hold her it was amazing and I become a sensible grown up person, just like that, pure magic.

Hull

The day I moved to London to take up my second job down there after having spent the previous 10 months working in the Scottish Borders region.

For those 10 months, I'd only been 90 minutes or so travelling time to my parents and brother, home in Fife.

Down in London, I didn't have that "comfort zone" - I'd to stand on my own two feet! I'd grown up and became an adult!

Angus & Findhorn

not an adult as such, but grown up..

quite young actually, my mum left an abusive dad and left behind the trappings of good money in the day.

she had a car, nothing else .

she washed dishes in a cafe then auxiliary nursing and I can still remember her sitting down with my sister and I and discussing with us the opportunity of her training for a nursing qualification. It meant less money in the short term but more in the long term. She wanted us to understand we may get less at birthdays and christmas and she wouldn't do it unless we were okay it.

think I was 13...

On my 21st I realised people took me a little more seriously... but I became a man at the tender age of 14, if you catch my drift!
