Dirty fairy...

Under the Duvet

Just taken the Christmas fairy out of her box and she's looking a wee bit grubby.

Think she may have been out clubbing with the Elf on the Shelf.

Any ideas how I can clean her up?

Don't think she'd survive a dunking.

Rub her in a bit of dry washing powder

Hoover the fluffy dusty bits and a quick wet wipe to the crevices?

Really?

Yes, works on white shirt collars too if they get that grubby line on them. It acts as a very gentle abrasive.

Once you have dusted her off then use a mildly damp cloth and give her a very gentle rub, the stains/grubby bits will fade overnight.

Air spray (air not hair!) will get in the nooks and crannies

I always put a star on the top of my tree.

Am I doing it wrong?

Washing up liquid on a cloth and dab the stains. Allow to dry then liberally coat in bicarbonate of soda to remove smells etc

Pure filth.

Were you 'dusting yourself off' when you wrote this?

Both, if your crevices are in need of a spruce up!

Then warm soapy water should do the trick

Our 8 year old modified one of her Ken dolls with wings, a dress and some fabulous contouring, when asked why she was doing it she said ‘it makes them happy, don’t judge’. I have never felt more proud, this Ken doll is topping the Christmas tree this year.

Just call her lock down fairy and leave her grubby as a reminder of 2020
