Picking which messages to read

I have a question for all of you who's inbox is overflowing.

Sometimes I will read a profile and think that I would really get along with someone. I will construct a personal message and include a nice photo or two but it never even gets opened!

What makes a message stand out? What makes you pick one from the pile?

They look, they just press unread again so blokes don’t message saying you read but never replied and get abusive.

I would prefer to know they weren't interested rather than that they never even looked!

I get lots of abuse in my inbox especially from all the “straight” fellas messaging I try to be polite by pointing out they aren’t actually looking for my type just women and couples , usually ends up with them giving me some abuse .

As soon as I click send, I delete the message. If I get a response, great. If not, no worries.

I reply I’m not interested and then block - saves the abuse back I used to get from them

I don’t read every message. If I see it consists of “how r u” then it gets deleted, same with “let’s fuck” or similar.

If I can see they have read my profile I’m more likely to open it.

I also usually check out their profiles before opening a message.

If the message says "how are you" or "hi" or "nice c**t" I just move on.

I'm more likely to open it if:

*He's local

*He's got a sexy profile pic

*He's articulate (even from the first line you can tell lol)

*He hasn't sent it when I've got a photo at the top of hot pics. It's pointless messaging me then, I'm swamped. Better to message the next day lol.

But that's life generally - if it wasn't we'd have all found our perfect partners and be happily living our lives - life is a series of sliding doors moments and Fab is no different, and whilst you might think you're the perfect match for that person who didn't read or reply to your message, they may have a very different view and not feel the same.

I'm sure I am not perfect for people but just find it interesting that they would never know. They probably sneak a peak and make up their mind from the profile picture. Oh well!

Even with 50 messages it only takes minutes to read as most of them say

"Hi howz you "

So it's easy to quickly delete the ones you aren't going to reply to and click the ones you might reply to as unread.

It's the same for girls messaging men or other girls as well... I contacted cucumber girl the other day and agonised for ages over what to put so that she'd see it in the sea of mail and then open and reply

I have a look at the profile first , if it's not what I'm looking for ... I delete without reading .

I also glance a the location and if's a 3 hour trip , it's just not going to happen so I delete .

They probably looked at your profile and decided that whatever the messages says is irrelevant as your profile shows you are not right for them. For whatever reason that may be.

Message just gets deleted.

At least if it is deleted that gives an idea even if it hasn't achieved the desired outcome. It shows as deleted.
