We all know it’s been a really tough year

And money is tight for most people

Do you think the bin men post men and women deserve I tip

As a bin man I don’t expect a tip , it’s nice to know that people appreciate you

I tip my binnen and the postmen and women

They walk miles every in all weather which can really get hard at times

Great....I've always wanted to ask.

I always tip them but how is it shared? What happens when I hand one of them the envelope?

Yeah definitely why not, even if a couple of quid, imagine the difference that would make if everyone of their round did it!!

I used do two paper rounds for a tenner a week and the thing that kept me going was the tips at xmas

Also, what's the best way to tip. I put the cash in with a Christmas card.

I always give the bin men and postman a card with money in because it makes my life easier. My postman signs for my parcels and leaves them in a safe place, saves me more in the long run as u don't have to go the sorting office anymore and the bin men, we I buy them a crate or larger. I'm the only person in the street who doesn't have to put their bins back

Excellent, cash is welcome then. I always it's rather lazy of me instead of getting a gift but not everyone like chocolates, whisky, etc.

I will be this year.

They deserve a little something extra, given everything that's happened this they have never missed a collection.

It's my way of saying thanks

I'm never home when our bins are collected. My postman however also delivers to one of the clinics I work at. He's great and if me or another who live locally aren't hone he brings our parcels to the clinic the little angel.

I give biscuits regularly to bin men all year round to show I appreciate them all year round. I put cash in a card for my postman. I have a regular Hermes delivery man, I give him cash in a birthday card as he lives very close to me.

Terrible typo lol

Meant especially on housing estates

We manage to find somewhere to relieve ourselves

We are not allowed to knock and ask to use there toilet

Even if we know who’s house it is

A few lads have been reported

When I lived in Australia, as a street we always used to give the bin men cases of beer to say thank you at Xmas. When I moved back to the UK, I was told they weren't allowed to accept gifts

I keep them in a job by putting my bins out every week, that’s good enough for me.
