Prince was a very talented multi musician, I’m not a big fan , but anyone who can play guitar like Jim Hendrix gets my vote ! Jackson was a paedophilic idiot.

We’re talking about being an artists purely, not anything else ( although I somewhat agree with you) One of Prince’s idol was Stevie Ray Vaughan

Everyone is welcome they’re opinion, being the greatest of all time I’d argue against. Regards of a showman, I’d say yes.. but that would ultimately be between MJ & Freddie Mercury

Hi, I don't even know how you can put these two Artists in the same sentence.......

There's absolutely no comparison between the two. Prince is and was far more superior. He could play 27 musical instruments, yes 27.

Not to mention his song writing including Sinead O`Connors ``Nothing compares to you`` & The Bangles ``Manic Monday`` both Top Hits in the 1980s. Not forgetting his own material and that with Sheena E. I'm not a massive fan but hey the man was a musical genius

Wasn’t quote saying they’re levels together? But they have been a lot writ and made of the two’s rivalry over the years.

Like I’ve stated, I much prefer Prince. But anyone would be a fool, to deny that MJ hasn’t done masterful stuff himself...

Agreed . I struggled to choose which one i like the best, Off the wall album is a classic. I remember when Thriller video came out, back in the day i remember people use to stand still in a city centre and watch the Thriller video outside HMV shop.

The 1980’s we had 4 of the best competing against each other Michael Jackson , Prince , Bruce Springsteen and Madonna. For me all were good in different ways but if I am choosing just one then it’s Michael Jackson the Thriller album , videos and dance moves were extraordinary in my opinion and the fact that he was also a child star before that just cements his place as my number one.

Prince way better than Jackson. Prince was Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix and James Brown all rolled into one. Wrote most of his own stuff unlike Jackson. Jackson's dancing was way too choreographed. Prince had a much more soulful voice. Had better vocal range than Jackson. Both very weird in their own ways though.

Has to be Prince. Jackson was initially successful because he was the cute youngest member of the Jackson 5. Moreover, MJ was only a singer and dancer. Prince was the real deal. A highly gifted musician, writer, compo and arranger. Oh and a great singer. Whereas you could half bet on what Jackson’s next track would sound like, Prince just blows you away with his ability to switch genres or create new ones at the drop of a hat. Prince could produce a hit using only a tea box bass and kazoo - doubt that Jackson could.
