Frustrated with life atm

It could be worse, could be better.

I can't exercise because 1) gyms closed 2) recovering from hip replacement due to bone cancer so need to start back slowly 3) puppy isnt able to 'walk' on the lead yet so its a stop/start stroll if I do get out with him...(not blaming him, he is adorable).

Experiencing all day/night hot flushes due to medically induced early menopause in order to treat my bone cancer with hormone therapy. Its duvet on/off all night, jumper on/off all day. Ggrrrrrrr.......gets worse if I am stressed also. Contemplating chopping my hair off as its making me hotter!!

My mood can be horrendous due to treatment! I took myself off to our bed at 8pm last night. Everything was pissing me off: the noise, my kids, did anyone look at me sideways...????!!!!

I have been buying stuff from Amazon to cheer myself up, buying presents for other people is good for the soul.

I know this will all pass, hurry up though, I'm not a patient person

MsD

P.S. rant over.

I hope the treatment goes well and things turn out positively for you OP.

What sort of exercise would you do at the gym? Anything you could replicate at home or something you could do instead?

If the pup is too inconsistent could you go for a walk by yourself?

Get yourself on YouTube and listen to some guided meditations. Search for ones to raise your vibration. Find a voice you like (I like Kenneth Soares) and listen to them in bed.

There and to the left a bit

Sorry to hear all that and hope life takes an upswing for you soon - sounds like you have the right attitude about it though which is half the battle.

The other half is trying not to worry about those things or feel bad about yourself for feeling them - "be kind" is thrown around a lot on here, and I'm usually fairly dismissive of the sincerity of it, but one area it is key is in being kind to yourself - that's where it really matters and is really important - take care of yourself and don't feel bad for putting yourself first for a change - it's not always easy to do and it *is* easy to feel bad for doing so, but ultimately you're the most deserving person of your kindness

Full on is an understatement. You're coping with more than most people who whinge because about every tiny thing and very admirably too.

I admire your strength and resolve

I would do cardio & alot of weights in gym. I did get a bike in 1st lockdown & cycled alot but I am terrified of falling off it & doing my hip in. Prefer to do cross trainer & static bike in gym when they reopen. My ortho surgeon said I can go back no problem.

I could go for a walk on my own but by the time we get dinner, chill for a bit, I am tired & its dark/miserable out.

I really should try this when I am feeling super agitated. For no reason at all, I feel like I want to rip my chest open & scream

Hormones!!

It is so important to be kind to yourself. I am way too hard on myself in general. I am way too good at coping with everything. I tend to hold it all in then explode with sheer exhaustion a month later! Lol. Not a good way to cope.

Sorry to hear you are going through all this.

When everything happens at once it truly overwhelms you.

I'm hoping you are a bit more relaxed having talked about it.

It helps to get stuff off your chest

I am used to everything happening all at once: had breast cancer, lost my mam to cancer & found out about his long affair. All within 9mnths of each other...back in 2017/2018. I am a dab hand at coping!

Its ok to rant OP, sometimes we all need to vent and you've surely got a whole lot on your plate at the minute.

You did the best thing taking yourself off to bed last night, sometimes it's best to just remove yourself from a situation.

The pup sounds great, is he too big to stick in a "dog pram" until he gets better at walking? They grow that fast , he will soon be taking you for walks!

Hoping things are brighter for you soon. Life can be overwhelming sometimes, but keep on keeping on, you've got this.

Hug of support to you .

Oh god. Court processes are draining.

Once you’ve listened to a few meditations and get a feel for them and find someone you like listening to do a grounding and protection meditation.

If you’re with the crown and on the prosecution side against someone it can be horrible. It’s vicious, it feels like the defence has an advantage.

I wouldn’t worry about exercise and shit during this time. Get strength from wherever you can.

Do you know the court and the route and where to park and the parking charges for each day. Do you know what entrances and exits you’re gonna use? Where you’re gonna eat. Plan a weeks outfits for each day in advance. Have a good breakfast so your stomach isn’t rumbling. Buy a black tourmaline crystal, wash it with cold water and say to it you want protection, put it in moonlight overnight and then charge it in sunlight the next day, take it with you every day, put it in your pocket or your bra for protection.
