"What has been the one thing you have done this year that makes it all worth it. Mine was get fed up of a Friday evening in the summer, drive to Cornwall and had a few days camping on my own. Was absolutely incredible and never would have done it. " Why wouldn't you have done it before? I think the staycation thing seems to have worked for a lot of people this year. Appreciating things closer to home.

"Spending so much time with my kids. Home schooling was awful and enlightening but we got through it. " I have taught kids that mainstream education couldn’t handle and it was a doddle, home schooling my own kids was definitely an eye opener D.

Was absolutely incredible and never would have done it. " Love solo camping, keep meaning to do a solo wild camp in the peaks. I supported my friend while his wife and kids were alone in Kuwait and the borders closed , it was a long 6 months of daily calls, brainstorming how to get them out or him to them, lots of tears from him, but a happy ending

"I've done nothing but work. No holidays no time off due to covid. So I've come to the assumption I might have the start of depression occurring. I might be miles off with my assumption but I've become moody, I dont want to talk about it. Work which I love is becoming to much and I wake up dreading leaving the house as I dont know how the working day will be and what time I will even be finished. Sorry for the negative post on what should be something good for 2020 but I just needed to get that off my chest" This sounds extremely familiar, totally understand this

But I don't think I can openly talk about to friends, family or work! " I've been open to my boss but only after I had the first ever attack of anxiety, nerves or whatever in my entire life. It was blindingly obvious I wasn't coping. My husband is also a colleague and so I don't need to explain to him, he can see and knows the pressures. It's been nice to work alongside him throughout. I've not really discussed more widely, other than with peers at work who are in the same boat. We all have 3 weeks plus of unused leave and now we're being told rollover days are capped (to less than I have left) and have to be taken by a ridiculously impractical date in 2021 that means I might as well give them up now. I'd recommend talking to your line manager or HR department. They have a duty of care, including offering occupational health which covers mental health issues, especially if the mental health issue is caused or exacerbated by work stress. Does your employer offer an anonymous advice/counselling service?

The work bit is hard there is just me and my boss I have a share in the business but I'm doing the work he gets it in so if I don't work the work doesn't get done so I know I can't have time off ill or time of with stress or depression as the load will be greater when I come back.

" If you are employed, your employer still has a duty of care. I also totally understand not wanting to go off sick and you feel like you're letting people down etc. It's our students and my immediate colleagues that have kept me going this far. I've never dreaded Monday mornings before but I do at the moment and I don't like it. Your GP can also point you in the direction of counselling services and there are online counselling services you can access to (charity and paid for). I hope you manage to get sorted.

"The biggest event for me in 2020 is: - surviving through the worst and tortured episode in my whole life with chemo (6 cycles) and radiotherapy (35 sessions) from 13th July till 1st September recently. - my weight dropped from 62kg at the start to only 48kg at the end (1st september) and BP dropped to 88/57 due to severe dehydration as I can only drink milk for 2 whole months as my only diet. - recuperating well now with weight up to 53kg, participating in a very enjoyable/ fun thread by Posh a& Kitty and trying to enjoy as much as I can, my privilege of 2 years, fully paid cancer leaves. " Keep on with your recovery, Sultry, you can do it
