Under the Duvet

Reframe it- why are you allowing your trust issues to get in the way of possible happiness?

Why do you boobytrap yourself?

Knowing there is no such thing as complete happiness, keeps me contented and that’s all I want.

I do this.

It's a fear of getting hurt.

I have trust issues

No such thing. And I think emotions are defined by contrast. If we were perfectly content we'd not understand how good it was.

I think one can be completely happy for a little while but realistically never long term. Life is full of surprising challenges so I think complete happiness is non existent.

The only way to be truly happy is to be content with what you have and what you have achieved, want for nothing and need for nothing and don’t judge your success of any value, be it, money, car, house, relationship, cock size, tit size, weight blah blah on what you see of others

content = happiness,

jealousy = bitterness / not being content = misery

How can we ever recognise complete happiness unless we experience those less happy parts of life.

Be careful what you wish for OP, complete happiness is just an illusion, and may lose its allure if not balanced with the rest of human experience.

Take your happiness as and where you find it, be grateful for it, because its those moments that make up for lifes troubles....

There would only be myself getting in the way of any perceived happiness. So I try not too get in the way.

Financial security.

Our current financial situation is what's keeping us in the UK and not living together atm. (Rona aside)

That aside, I'm the happiest I've ever been and far more happy than I ever thought possible!

I don’t think there’s is such a thing as complete happiness. I am pretty happy though but I know I would be happier if I wasn’t worrying about financial things

I don't think complete happiness exists, but I'm the happiest that I could possibly be in my current circumstances...we have to work with the cards that we're dealt in life

It's a spectrum, or an aspect of many spectra?, as the labels we give to our emotions probably don't all add up to what ee feel in entirety. Satisfaction, contentment and many other things are likely to be related.

I don't think much, if anything is missing or stopping me.

Complete happiness as in contentment?

I don't think it's a permanent state to be in - happiness like all other emotions wave in and out.

I have moments of it.

Money & i’m not talking the millions & a yacht.

Literally £1k a month would do just for a touch more security, less worry/stress & be able to travel a bit for the kids.

We are working on it, though Covids fucked up this years outlook.

I don't want complete happiness, I want the drive to make something better in a small part of my life, I thrive on the changes and chasing adventure and look forward to them, 75% is more than enough for me
