The best are already mentioned.....Cards Against Humanity and Exploding Kittens.

Uno is good if you just want a normal card game.

Evil Apples is a phone app based version of CAH.

visiting the beach

Jaipur is rather good. Surprising amount of depth for a simplistic trading card game.

There's an impressive-sounding Australian card game which I've bought for a few people, but never tried. It's called F*ck - The Game.

(It's a lot smarter than it may sound. It uses something called the Stroop Effect: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroop_effect)

FEATURES:

* Have fun swearing at your friends while becoming smarter in the process

* Brain training side effects

* The perfect pub game

SPECIFICATIONS

Players: For 3 to 8 players

Age: Recommended for ages 18 years and over

Inclusions: Contains 60 playing cards and instructions

Warning: Contains explicit language

"... as therapeutic as it is hilarious"

'Catan' is great

'Speak up' is fun if you don't mind your teeth and gums exposed...

'Oware' is an strategic ancient game, super interesting to play by two or teams.

There’s a few knocking around. Monogamy is pretty good snd plays a long game with Plenty of build up. Also sets challenges for longer term.

Could also try nookii that’s a bit faster paced but still lots of fun. Both are on sale at Amazon.’ Have fun will keep eyes peeled for the pics lol

Drawing without dignity is one I’ve looked at getting. I’ve not played it but it looks good fun and has great reviews.

Thanks, this is something I'll add to my list. Been meaning to think of one to gift someone. This might be it!

Codenames is a really great one if you haven't tried it yet btw. Though not sure of how titillating it might be construed as..
