Its now "crumpet" season...

so how do you eat yours ?

Oooh love crumpets - left to cool for a minue and then smothered in butter so it stays hard and doesn't 'sink in'. Sometimes have a little cheese on top too. Yummy

Toasted, let them cool enough not to melt the butter at contact, and slap on a thick layer of butter, yum!!!

Nice with cheese and also spread with marmite and cheese.

And great with peanut butter.

another way is to whisk ya eggs up and dunk your crumpet in , leave to soak a little then fry off.

great with bacon and toms

I sort of put them in my mouth and move my jaw up and down... think it's called chewing, not sure

toasted and covered in butter sometimes with melted cheese

depending on where you come from they are called differant things us brummies call them picklets well thats what my nan called them

as far as i know brummies called crumpets picklets

and that how i have known them from childhood

its only since i have lived in tamworth have i called them crumpets
