Lockdown hair

I went through the last lockdown with smug satisfaction. I'd got a haircut the weekend before lockdown started and so for at least 6-8 weeks, I looked presentable. After that, I employed the services of my son to trim the bits that were getting out of hand. This time, my hair appointment was the weekend AFTER lockdown started and that was already 2 weeks later than ideal due to my hairdresser being away. I look like a scarecrow. The bag lady. And my son is at uni - I don't trust Mr KC with the scissors and my hair

1) Is this payback for my earlier smugness

2) Can anyone recommend a teaching hat - one I can wear to teach online whilst wearing a headset?!

3) Should I promote Mr KC to apprentice hairdresser?

East Sussex

1) yes

2) just get a bobble hat and cut holes in it

3) not unless you want to be wearing the above hat for six months.

HTH.

Brad mondo has a lockdown hair cut tutorial on YouTube. I cut my own hair all year round but the tutorial was really helpful.

A former partner cut my hair once, never again, traumatised for life

1. Yes, karma’s a bitch

2. Wear a mortar board with carefully placed cutouts to accommodate the headset. It’ll reinforce the the teacher student dynamic.

3. Never, ever, ever let someone you love go near your head with scissors. That kind of shit can ruin relationships

Keep the contributions coming, folks. I'll stick the results in SPSS and analyse according at the end

I’ve done the kids (girls) from watching the tutorials on you tube. They lived it and said they want me to do it all the time!

In The Hills

A hair scarf was my best friend last lockdown. This time I was fortunate enough to have had my hair done the week before lock down

Pins and mouse/gel. Seriously.

If lockdown lasted for a decade I still wouldn't have to worry about getting a haircut.

Meh.

For those worried about your hair's condition, my hair has never been softer or more manageable (and I'm growing it out and it's not a disaster wtf ) since I started using the L'Oréal Dream Lengths products.

(For those growing it out, bobby pins and mousse or gel )

La la land

M cut my hair during the first lockdown, but it was only a trim. Kind of grateful I have long hair I can just tie up. Have had a few fringe disasters this year though.
