Dogs defo! I've got a husky/alsation cross and he's handsome bugger! I'm allergic to cats and some dogs but his coat is hypo-allergenic so I'm ok.

Cats hate me anyway and the feelings mutual! My friends cats jumped on my lap once and just sat there purring away and all was good till he got bored and stuck his claws right into my leg! WTF???

Dog & Cat Diaries

Excerpts from a Dog's Daily Diary ...

8:00 am - Dog food! My favorite thing!

9:30 am - A car ride! My favorite thing!

9:40 am - A walk in the park! My favorite thing!

10:30 am - Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing!

12:00 pm - Lunch! My favorite thing!

1:00 pm - Played in the yard! My favorite thing!

3:00 pm - Wagged my tail! My favorite thing!

5:00 pm - Milk Bones! My favorite thing!

7:00 pm - Got to play ball! My favorite thing!

8:00 pm - Wow! Watched TV with the people! My favorite thing!

11:00 pm - Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing!

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary ...

Day 983 of my captivity ...

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.

Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies'. I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now ...

We have two cats here at the moment, had them as kittens to replace our German Shepherd of 14 years.

Couldn't face having another dog so close to losing one, but have to be honest we do prefer dogs.

Definately dogs,well Staffies really.

Had several breed of dog but Staffies have a character all their own, everyone we know who has one says the same.

Love guinea pigs too, cute little buggers.

Not cats though, they seem so sly, cruel, selfish and cold.

tropical fish for me, they don't smell, they don't make a noise, they don't make a mess, they don't climb all over your visitors, and they are more fun to watch than TV and they come in more colours than you can shake a stick at too so are pretty in a non fem way

My brother and his gf have lots of guinea pigs! Poor old squeeky has pneumonia!

Personally I much prefer dogs, my parents used to have Briards when I was younger, but have cats as less demanding of your time...

Natually, I prefer cats as I am like a cat myself, being very independent etc...

My cat is my own, and I would have had a cat a long time ago, except I got hooked up with my ex hubby before I had the chance to get a cat. I referred him as my cat substitute at times, and I do not believe he appreciate the funny side of it

She is very loving and affectionate, and is a cute pussycat with a lovely face

However, I love my late partner's dog so much I decide to keep him as my own after his death, and I love him to bits. I have to make certain adjustments in lifestyle for him, however, he is worth it, and he provided me with the much needed comfort after his death.

He retains a lot of my late partner's characters - being a big dog in a small dog's body is one, and forever the puppy is another.

They are very different in characters, and I love them both to bits!

They are definitely my children substitute!

its dogs for me

ive had resuced dogs all my adult life

some with more problems than others

its a challenge for me to have a rescue dog with no manners no confidence and no training what so ever and work with them till i have a wonderfull dog

for me dogs dont judge you

they dont care how much money you have, how you dress or what your house looks like

they love you for who you are and are always pleased to see you when you get home from work

Dogs every time. cats come into your house act as though they own it, piss off after they've been fed, come back in then walk all over the kitchen work tops then go to sleep. That of course is after they've gone into other peoples gardens, shit and pissed all over the place rendering the plants stone dead !

Now dogs are a different story, full of character, loyal and trustworthy - they'll defend you till the death. Would a cat do that ? of course not, it would turn a blind eye to you and bugger off to someone elses house to get fed, then it would probably stay there and never give you a second thought.

We have a beautiful long haired German Shepherd and only yesterday took delivery of a 2yr old American Bulldog

I thing American Bulldogs are partial to cats

Only kidding, I hate cats but wouldn't hurt them
