Guys out of interest what is the highest number of messages you have received in one day from different women? I’m not talking conversation thread messages with one person, I mean messages from different women?

My 15 would be a full day spent on the forums in honesty if it were local it’d be around 5 maximum and that again would be considered a good day

Most men, myself very definitely included, get no messages on the vast, overwhelming majority of days. I have the impression that a lot of men never get any messages at all.

The time I got two was an exciting one-off that I don't expect to be repeated.

I have only ever had about ten messages from ladies who I had never messaged in about 10 years on fab. And most of them wanted me to pay them. Others have been fake profiles. And maybe 3 where genuine

I don't necessarily understand why you're so surprised - plenty of women and couples say that they don't message first.

Combine that with the number of single men here, and all the advice that they have to be exceptional to stand out from the crowd to even warrant a reply to a message, let alone a spontaneous one, and I don't think it's that surprising that for a lot of guys here the Fab experience is a relentlessly negative one

I personally don't get meets via Fab. I've always used Fab to keep in contact with people I've met in swingers clubs and at organised socials. I also chat to quite a few people all over the country mainly through the forums. Fab is just a keeping in contact and time wasting tool for me

Most I had was 12, usually only 1 or 2 a day and often none.It depends, sometimes from forum threads it may encourage messages, sometimes its from a pic or a status update.Also can be from friends or hotlisted people.In terms of random non friend messages from women its usually not many.I think guys still tend to be the ones who make first contact and females have so many messaging them they probably have enough to choose who they wish to reply to rather than the need to go searching.

On average I'll send a couple a week. Some weeks I'll send a dozen, others I'll send none.

My impression of Fab is that men don’t understand how much attention women get, and women don’t understand how little men get.

There’s a woman local to me who’s had messages from 3,500 people. I’ve had messages from 8. Ever. That includes rejections, people who clearly clicked “Reply privately” in the forum by accident, and notifications from Fab.

This isn’t a “Woe is me” post; this is an observation of the simple facts of life on here.

It leads to a situation where women and couples think that an empty inbox would be blissful, and men think it would be awesome to have hundreds or thousands of people salivating over them – few seem to really grasp, let alone appreciate, the drawbacks the other side faces.

I personally find this imbalance accurately reflects society as a whole. I don’t know what we can do about that.

I do my best to think of it as social media platform for staying in touch with the people I met in clubs. It's really hard to remember that sometimes though, especially when other people clearly are using it for meeting.

70%?! Erm I'd say 95% especially if you delete all the fake female accounts that are actually guys/scammers.

As for most messages in a day... I'd say probably 3 from different people. Unfortunately, those that come across as the keenest then do the whole ghosting thing which just leads a guy to assume they're a dude trolling.

I think a few guys on here (even the hung/gym fit ones) claiming to receive dozens a day might be telling slight porkies...
