Pretty sure there's a whole generation out there that have never realised you can talk on the phone with it held to your ear rather than held out at arms length on speaker so you have to shout to be heard.

But yes. They may well be the same people.

I normally reject the call and wait for them to leave a message. Or just have my phone on silent.

I remember getting the bus back from Chesterfield to Derby once, there was a young lass sat on the seat behind me. She was on the phone to her mate chatting about what they were gonna get upto over the course of the weekend. This all quite loudly and went on for about half an hour or so.

Her mate was waiting for her when she got off at the sation

I see the forum as a place for many conversations. We all have that friend who only ever wants to talk about themselves, usually starting with an insincere "How are you?" before launching into to their tale. Those posts are just that but for a wider audience.

Whether they also broadcast their phone loudly is a different issue.
