"I really enjoyed working out at home in the 1st lockdown in Ireland. Different than the gym obviously but good. Gyms are closed here now again in this lockdown. I cannot exercise juat yet as I had a hip replacement at the end of Sep. Cannot wait to get back to the gym when they open back up. Dont want to risk cycling out on the road yet. Gym is a safer environment. MsD" It is good that you enjoyed it in ireland, get better soon. I prefer to train at home as you save alot of time, about 3hrs or so

"I enjoyed it during the first lockdown as it was different to the gym and away from everyone else. Then I went back to the gym and now I'm back exercising from home, I realise how limited I am with just a couple of dumbbells and it's just sooooooo boring... " Yes training at home during the first lockdown was exciting too. I like it as you get more done too

"Finding it a bit boring to be back with the dumbbells, I love going to the gym....only 17 more days to go..." I like it and to include more back workouts I go to the park because there are a gate and I use the bar as a pull up bar, it is fun

"We are struggling too. The motivation just ain't there. Plus in summer we could be in the garden.... Now we are stuck in the kitchen! " Yes, the weather isnt as good now, as it was in the 1st lockdown either

"Terrible! I’m sort of a person who needs to go to gym for my both mental and body health. Its really pissing me off while knitting shop and greasy kebap shop down the road is open but not gyms sorry, rant over " Yes I also wonder the same as it is more important to have the gyms open then the takeaways as that is not healthy

"My motivation is high I love exercising I don’t have much at home weight wise just some resistance bands , pull up bar and a sand bag but it’s enough to keep me going. I actually focus on a lot of things I don’t do / neglect in the gym like working forearms and calves balancing and stretching. I found when I did these in the previous lockdown when I went back to the gym a lot of exercises felt better like squats " I noticed something similar, as I was working with lighter weights during lockdown, I focused more on form and time under tension and this just ended up being second nature when I went back to the gym

"My activity levels prior to covid were already extremely poor...I only had around 20 mins of targeted walking per day with additional in and around the my office building, but since lockdown activity is nonexistent. Im working from home and go from desk to sofa to bed. Months without steady regular Sexcercise has also taken its toll both mentally and physically. How do you do it? How do you motivate yourselves? Tips would be most welcome as i my lethargy is worrying and my leg muscles are starting to wither away (and im pretty sure i can now identify as a born again virgin) " I'm in a better mood when I exercise, although there's a learning curve with that.

"I’m struggling to get my new stuff out of the box. The house feels cluttered with all of us working from home and house alterations in progress. So I’m not doing well in getting round to it." just keep moving the boxes from one end of the room to the other

"I've never been more active (C - male) Instead of the 1 hour commute to work and the 90 minute commute home (factoring in school runs) I now have 1 35 minute pick up routine which leaves time for exercise that I never had before. Agree it's not easy and 8 months in there's only so much YouTube content you can absorb. Motivation sagged for me in September, I was no longer seeing results in my body shape and I was feeling more lethargic. So what we did at work was sign up to a virtual mission, to cover the entire length of Route 66 by whatever exercise you choose (there are activity conversion charts for ones where you don't actually cover distance like a gym workout). Motivation came flooding back, we have a social channel on MS Teams to discuss it. The mission sends you postcards when you reach specific distances and there's a medal at the end. Not the same as a real sportive on the bike or running event (for those that run) but better than 'just another 15 burpees in the living room to get the heart pumping' " That is good going and lots of excersing too
