Bouncing off of another thread.

Ladies are you a no, light, medium, heavy maker upper? Do you wear make-up to make yourselves more or to highlight what is attractive? Do you wear make-up for the other person or for yourself?

Light make up to work or going somewhere in the day.

Heavier make up for nights out

No make up at home.

And I wear it for me. I don’t do anything clothes or makeup wise to please others.

Always wear something. Usually just a bit of concealer, mascara and a tinted lip balm during the day. More for going out at night but I wouldn't call it heavy as I still like to look like me.

I wear it because when I look in the mirror I want to like what I see and a bit of make-up makes me feel better about myself x

I don't know how to apply makeup. Had a makeover once and looked like a drag queen so I don't bother.

I look better without.

I drink a lot of water so my skin is... *chef's kiss* plus.. melanin.

I think most if not all women look better without but I am fascinated by the process and the faff.. I find it quite pampering and skillful so I love watching makeovers.. I find them so asmr soothing and muckbangish....

Some people are blessed with lovely skin, bone structure, smaller nodes, lovely long eyelashes etc, so yes, they can fall out of bed and present to the world as what is deemed as 'socially recognised as attractive'. Some of us have to wear make to achieve what they look like when they fall out if bed. The media gives us images all day about what is perceived as attractive'. Men are under the same pressure with penis size, should have a six pack etc.

I dont feel i need to wear make up, blessed with great skin.

I love experimenting with make up.. i feel it enhances my appearence.

I wear it for me, but it is to make myself more attractive to men. Women compliment me too which is equally lovely.

Day to day its just mascara and a bit of lip balm

Eye makeup everyday, never foundation etc and I only put lipstick on if I'm going out out. Lol

Not much lippy being applied atm.

Always for myself, it's how I feel more attractive. X

I never used to wear make up, but as I've got older I really enjoy it.

I love lipstick! I sometimes wear a lot of make up, sometimes its very minimal and I'm very happy to go out with no make up on too. However I choose to have my face, its always for myself and no one else's benefit though

Whether I'm going to be seeing anyone or not I apply light make up every morning.

The most important thing we can do is look after ourselves physically and emotionally and wearing make up is part of that *for me*. I also care about how I present myself to other people so in that respect I wear make up for them too.

I suppose what I call heavy make-up is the 'smoothed out'/'air brushed' look where people start to look the same and generic.

I like to still be able to see the person under the make-up.

Light make up when I go out.

I feel ridiculous in heavy make up and I have no idea how to apply it.

Day to day I don't wear make up - especially at the moment - what for?

Manchester (she/her)

I run the gamut.

I'm not ashamed to be seen without makeup and if I don't feel like it I won't wear any.

Some days I do my eyeshadow and nothing else because it's fun.

Usually when I go out I go the whole nine yards.

I do it for myself. I learned how to in order to fit in with certain pressures and expectations I felt had been put upon me. But for me it's a form of individual and almost artistic expression. I enjoy it.

I enjoy it when other people appreciate it too, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to be pressured to do anything in a particular way. If someone thinks highlighter is stupid or modern brows look horrible, or "girls look better without makeup", then I give them the consideration they deserve - none.

I wear makeup for myself. Medium/light appearance and it doesn't change much from day to night out.

I only wear lipstick at another's request though.

I don't wear make up. I have amazing skin. Soft to the touch with a translucent quality that gives me natural iridescence.

Because I am a beautiful, natural blonde, I occasionally darken my lustrous long lashes.

My lips are like lizard lips...... So I fucking use a pencil and loads of lippy okay ! Why did you have to upset me..... I want fat lips!

Is it too much to ask. I want to look like a fucking filler catastrophe !

Like Katie Price on heat.

Like Thingy Jenner has been in an orange sucking competition

Like a trout, a fat trout , a fat sausage sucking trout with biiiiiiiiig licky lips.

I love make up.

I don’t bother wearing any in the week unless I’m going somewhere where I want to make an effort.

When I go out in the evening I definitely wear heavier make up.

You can see in my pics me with and without it.

I only wear makeup when I'm going to work or out socialising, and it's very light, just enhancing my natural features (tinted moisturiser, bit of blusher and mascara). I wear it because I just feel more polished with it on. I've been told many times that I don't look any different without it...no surprises when waking up next to me, I'll look the same as I did when we went to sleep, just with crazier bed hair

The only exception is when I'm performing, and then it's heavy, heavy makeup, false eyelashes, bright red lipstick...but you kind of have to because facial features disappear under stage lights. I don't particularly like wearing that much, and I'm always glad when I can take it off after a show.

Wirral.

Never wear in the day or for work.

If I'm going out somewhere special or meeting someone, then I'll apply light makeup, and red lips.

I've never worn heavy make up, as I like my freckles to show through.

Basically, you'd still recognise me in the morning, without my "face" on

.

No makeup probably 360 days of the years, the other 5 it will be light (mascara, eyeshadow and vaseline). I didn't have much interest in it when I was younger, instead of spending time and money on it I wanted to read.

Nowadays, I sometimes go through a phase of wanting to find the perfect red for me and I think, oh wouldn't it be nice to have the contoured cheeks and carefully drawn on brows but I'm too lazy and I love how I look with no makeup on. I also don't like the feeling of certain textures on my skin (sensory issue) My skin is very good as is and it's nice and clear and I've got nice features that I don't want to alter.
