Worcester

Just off to the wine cellar (off license) what are you fancying? Fresh crisp white or a full bodied red? Maybe something sparkly to lighten your mood?

Rejection can be a right kick in the teeth but look at it this way it's their loss and it wasn't meant to be but I have gin and jaeger for such an occasion

shits creek

It can certainly sting.

I look at it this way, it IS a 2 way street and if you weren't right for them, then that means they, by default, weren't right for you.

1 way rodeo would be worse than the initial rejection

Ive been rejected way to many times and have grown some what of a thick skin to it.

But remembering the old days, it used to take me a few weeks to get my confidence back

Dont worry about it too much OP, time heals xx

What Gin are you drinking? Can I be a gooseberry too this party? I’ll bring extra gin!

Grab an extra bottle tonight OP. Get a bar of chocolate and have a flick through the forums for a little buzz.

Sometimes out of the fires grows something great. My ex wife rejected me. The lowest point of my life. Totally crushing and totally unexpected. My world was shattered and I was completely devastated. The rug totally pulled from underneath me. Turns out once the smoke cleared and started build my sense of self again that she did me a huge favour. I am stronger, wiser and more self aware than ever. And finding Mrs Misfit I realised I could have more from a relationship than I ever dreamed was possible. A bond profoundly closer that I ever thought possible. It also helped me understand in a clear head space the faults with my ex, her manipulation, the faults with our relationship and my own faults. Her leaving me gave me new life and a future more brilliant than I could ever imagine. It has ended up the best hidden blessing for me. Don't think it worked out so well for my ex but I wish her well too.

(Mr Misfit)

Also wines ok but I'm a great advocate of after a break up, go get laid. No strings. It was advise a good female friend of mines friend gave her. And it worked for me as a stepping stone to recovery. It really helps build you and helps you to remember after a rejection you are desirable and you can move on.

I think that advice can also be self defeating, so it won't work for everyone

I sometimes think maybe it was for the better in the long run. I can think of a few occasion when afterwards I felt, thank goodness I was not part of this situation.

Now go and have that glass - I ll have one with you - mine is a red. Well, maybe two....

Not rejection, it’s redirection. The universe knew it wasn’t for you so it’s redirecting you to something better that’s going to come along.
