This is the problem with lace knickers and long nails. Always putting holes in them.. constantly throwing them away...

I revamp my knickers at least once a year as I did read that even though they go through the wash, bacteria can still remain. If the white ones aren't white, bin. Any holes, bin. Any marks, bin. My special lingerie is hardly ever worn so they can stay in the drawer.

When the knicker elastic goes and they start falling down, even when wearing jeans or trousers. That is so unspeakably annoying.

I find the fact you differentiate between "work undies" and presumably non work undies a bit different. care to expand.

mine generally have 4 hole 2 legs 1 waist land a woodpecker hole.

when a 5th appears... its a scrouge.... in that its time to review the situation.

I have done that "please don't let me end up in hospital today" train of thought when I've got a particularly well worn pair on.

Generally period pants when not period time.

When all that really remains of your undies is the waistband then it's probably time to consider letting go of an old friend

Most of my knickers are black lace so i get confused at what is new and what is old.

I need to adopt this strategy. Not the lingerie but though

Yes, it’s a very simple process really. Work undies are for work. The ones I don’t wear for work are my ‘non work’ undies. Hopefully that’s clarified the situation

This. I do have pairs that are decades old with the old hole for night time period pants

When they have holes or the elastic is gone so they keep falling down. Or white ones that have gone a bit grey.
