That's nothing - I applied for a job recently, going on about what a good proof reader I am and how good an eye for detail I have. Heard nothing back, then a week later realised I'd added a "6" to the end of one word when my hand must have clipped the keyboard

Yeah, great proof reading skills....

My thoughts are with the families of the women he murdered. While it's easy to say 'good riddance' etc, it's still a terrible, hollow feeling for them, as it won't bring their loved ones back.

I timeless phrase for this news comes to mind. It helps if you can imagine the dulcet tones of Windsor Davies.

Oh dear,

How sad,

Never mind!

And the press, the earlier victims being sex workers were treated terribly in the press. Their sympathies towards the victims only happened when a woman was murdered who was just walking home from work.

Those women had a hard life, then brutally killed only for the press then to treat them as if they deserved their fate.

Seen the documentary well worth a watch

I think it was the attitudes to women in general that was so shocking.

I don't think it's changed much to be honest, certainly we still pay some women less for equal work etc..

Domestic violence and murders by partners/spouses are sadly too many and convictions for sexual assault and ra#e are low..

It has progressed a fair bit tbf.

Back then a woman going for the pub without a man was seen as deviant behaviour.

And the police attitude tinsex workers was that they almost deserved to be killed.

Absolutely shocking.

I don't wish anyone dead; I wish plenty a painful lingering progession to death though.

The standards of yesteryear have been vastly improved I’m glad to say.

As long as there are humans, judgment will always be made on others based on any number of factors. unfortunately, I dont think that will ever change.

Huntley I agree with but Blair was a top PM in my opinion. Before you go on about Iraq it’s not as black and white as some say it is, however I’m not entering any further down that road!
