not a bit fan of extinction rebellion, due to the protests of the past, bringing traffic to a half etc

but this ... was quite shocked, to say the least.

south wales

It should not be publicised in my view. They did it for publicity and outrage and it should be removed and ignored IMO

the problem with ignoring it is ... those that fund it in the streets wont know what they have done. i suspect after this, funds will dry up and not due to climate change

Birmingham

Hijacking something else like this seems pretty daft to me. I probably agree with the protests in general, but not this.

Wales/ All over UK

I have sympathy for the message they’re trying to make... but the way they’re making it is completely wrong.

All they’re doing is actively pissing off the people they should be trying to get on their side... the general public.

They’re actually harming the image of climate change activism in general

The “veteran” of all people should know better (watched the video, any sailor, soldier, airman, etc knows you salute when facing the cenotaph with headgear on) so I do wonder if he is one or a Walt- no idea why you’d dress up in full (obsolete) uniform when if you’re trying to make a tatement the beret would have been enough. Totally wrong place, wrong time and wrong kind of message to be giving out when they want people to support them. All they will do is alienate the “average” person and the armed forces community too. As for the nurse, not much being said about her but I’m sure the nursing community won’t be too happy when they’re struggling for support for a pay rise still after the crappy year they’ve had!
