Is it the acute or the grave?

Maybe you like the tilde?

The umlaut and the cedilla are both very popular.

Or could it by my personal favourite, the mighty circumflex?

That’s the one. Brings back memories, not good, it has to be said. I spent a lot of time stood in the corridor during french lessons.
