How many knobs have you got to choose from? Maybe give them all a go, see if you get a reaction from any of them x

A couple of years ago I put a chicken in ma preheated oven, went to check on it about half an hour later and it was stone cold. I'd only put the top oven on hadn't I

I blamed the wine anyway

Did you turn it on then off again?!

I think it's time for a new Hob when that happens though.

Have you tried giving it a rub to warm it up a bit?

You mentioned there are a few knobs near by, maybe try playing with the biggest one for a bit and see if that has any change in your ring temperature

Did you try flicking your switch....its bound to loosen the elements and warm the ring piece up
