Good evening everyone, I am currently listening to some Vinyl records I bought myself this weekend and it has got me wondering.

How do you prefer to listen to your music these days? Do you like to just listen to it digitally via the various music apps? Do you like to listen to a CD? Or do you love the feel, and crackle of a vinyl album?

I use Spotify a lot because of convenience, but have also just invested in a Sony turntable to play my Vinyl collection

In The Hills

Depends where I am. In the bath, digital. But when in the living relaxing has to be vinyl, the sound of the needle on the vinyl just adds to it

I don't listen to music that much and do not 'follow' music so a free account on Spotify is just easier and simpler.

Any song I want to hear I copy the link off YouTube put it through a 'YouTube to MP3' converter on the net then download it as an MP3 file and play via an MP3 app.

I ripped all our CDs to a network drive so we can listen to albums, the radio or amazon music through our sonos. I'm just in the middle of turning our dining room into a grown-ups snug so I can get a turntable and collect my old vinyl collection from my parents loft.

Scunthorpe

I mostly have ths radio on in the car or via Alexa.

Have CDs in the car for when the radio or the signal is bad.

I do have vinyl and a record player but haven't played it for years.

I just lurve the feel of a vinyl record in my hands, the trepidation of the needle being put or falling onto the vinyl along with the crackle of the needle is just awesome.

But one of the best things at the moment is getting a new album from Amazon (other websites are available) opening the clear wrapper and waiting for the album to release the treasures it hold in the grooves.. at the moment it is the nearest thing to having sex.. whatever that is..

Mr Bants and Blue each to their own but IMHO you just cannot beat the feel of the hard copy of the music.. having said that I too do use Spotify when the 'Hard copies' is not practical

Theres something special about the feel, the smell. The sound of vinyl. Its organic... That other mediums will never reproduce.
