I once spent two weeks on a bus around the US.

I brought loads of CDs of what I consider the “real” American music for my Walkman (those were the days!). I obsessed what to bring for days - blues, soul, (good) country, folk etc.

Totally pointless, as the two young, hip drivers blasted out power ballads over the bus’s system most of the trip .
