Lights on or off

0n for me when indulging in the pleasures of the flesh

But, what about in general.

After a recent visit to my dad's he went around turning the lights off after me.

Apparently it was to light for lights.

I could hardly see my hand in front of my face!

So..do you consciously go around turning the lights off?

Have the kids got all the lights on like its the Blackpool illuminations?

Does it wind you up if they are?

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

Definitely on for me while getting freaky

That said, I do turn off lights if they're not being used around the house. Habit drilled into me by my mom. Save energy!

In the middle

I never have the lights on in the house when I’m on my own, I flick a lamp on if I have visitors of course when doing the nudey rudey I prefer a soft low lighting like candlelight or the telly on in the background the big light is so harsh and unforgiving and if you are like me (bit fugly) then I’m best viewed in the dark

There and to the left a bit

I think it's an "older generation" thing (he says acknowledging he's approaching that status!!) to keep the lights off unless needed - anyone 10-20 years older than me always seems to want minimal lights on.

Think it probably harks back to 10p in the meter electricity and the power cuts of the 70s where they learned to conserve energy and it was considered expensive.

I hate sitting in the gloom and will have the lights blazing wherever I need them - that said if the landing light is left on or in a room I'm not using I will switch it off

On a mooch

I only have the light on in the room I’m in. Even at night time I will make it from the living room to the bed without turning lights on, just habit.

Always on for pleasure, but a side light as not a lover of overheads

If I’m entertaining at home ... you know the HOT stuff - I usually light candles in my boudoir

Home alone... a table lamp and candles for a cosy feel otherwise all lights off

And me..I like it light except when I'm relaxing.

I don't like overhead lights. They get used very rarely. I prefer lamps, candles, fairy lights etc

I go round after my children, switching lights off all the time

It's a constant source of grumblings in this house

I don't like having the 'big light' on (even moreso if the blinds are open and people can see in)

I like mood lighting and candles

It gives warmth and a feeling of snug

Bright lights seem cold and stark

Lights on when doing the deed...

....otherwise, how can her hubby get decent pics?

Day-to-day, lights off when no-one's in or passing through the room, hallway, etc...

....even though every bulb in (and outside) the house - from bathroom mirrors to sign lights - is an LED...

....when we moved here three years ago, the guy we bought the place from still had some 100-watt filament bulbs in use!

I am not sure electricity was invented the last time I indulged in sex

I am one for turning off lights in the house when not in a room.

I loved the power cuts in the 70s as a kid and remember playing games by candlelight with the family.

We do have small lights and lamps on in the rooms we’re in. I don’t often have the “big light” on, and make sure the lights are off in rooms I’m not in, but it’s how I was brought up and I have photophobia too so I guess why.

We are both visual so lights on but a lower light to suit the mood.

At home, just light the room I’m in and then a soft light in my bedroom, to keep away the monsters

Day-to-day, lights off when no-one's in or passing through the room, hallway, etc...

Energy saving light bulbs! They take 10 mins to warm up so you can actually see anything by which time you've left the room and switched them off... Now there's some emperors new clothes if ever there was one.

I switch lights off when not in use or not needed.... As has already been said... Probably a generational thing. I grew up saving energy, not wasting water, only using hot water when essential and always leave enough for others.

Images of monty pythons 4 Yorkshiremen sketch... But it stays with you.

Preference is low lighting and candles.

When someone you love leaves a light on for you (maybe at the doorstep) ....so you don't struggle with getting your key in the tight hole....that can be great!

But all around the house in unoccupied rooms. 'No likey, No Lighty' to coin a famous Paddy.

I love having lamps on rather than the main light on so I’m forever putting them off/on and our lounge looks like a lamp sale room!

My mum will quite happily watch tv in darkness, I hate it!

I’m happy only turning on the lights when I absolutely have to. It bugs me when they’re on in the daytime.

As an aside, I got daddio an Echo Show for him to listen to music easier and to remind him to take his tablets. First thing he asked Alexa was to turn on the lights. It took a good hour to explain that Alexa didn’t magically give him a Smart home.

You can get some smart bulbs that connect to Alexa. You should get him some, it'll make his day.

We leave lights on. We have free electric so it's never an issue for us.

Don't know how we will cope the day we have to pay for all of our electric.

I have one in my daughters room so I can turn off her lamp at night. Proper handy. When I informed daddio he went on a rant about ‘how much for a bloody lightbulb?’ for a large part of that hour so the less the said about that the better
