Why do you always think of classic comebacks two days later when you’re in the shower ?

Really wanted to come up with a witty retort to this, I’ll expect it to come to me sometime around Sunday lunch time!!!

"I'll let you know in two days."

Then you have to run through the argument in your head with your witty retort and imagine they’re reaction.

Still think about an argument I had two years ago, often play out a few different scenarios, I don’t waste my days

I’m pretty quick in arguments but my best friend is something else. God she’s vicious. She knows someone’s weakness and exposes it. I remember this guy in a van in Tesco car park beeped really bad at her. She was reversing out of a space. He came whizzing through the car park and had to slam on. She got out the car and was like I know him, I got out the car, he got out the van and was calling her all sorts, she said fuck off billy bear and he looked like he was gonna cry and just got back in the van. I was like billy bear, what the fuck. She was like yeah in school he got sun burnt really bad one year and his skin looked like that billy bear ham you used to have and he got bullied relentlessly for it!

Just fucking tickled me how calling someone a piece of ham could bring them to tears. That’ll learn him though, shouting at two sweet women.

Or could it have been that being reminded of his burn, the memory of the pain it must have casused as a kid and the trauma of the subsequent bullying , was the thing that had him close to tears? Kids can be so utterly cruel to others sometimes that it leaves lasting me tap as well as sometimes physical scars....

In the middle

"Why do you always think of classic comebacks two days later when you’re in the shower ? "

If you look at yourself in the mirror whilst pulling a mean face and recant your scathing comeback then it counts ... am I right
