In the past I’ve been very loving, sensitive, heart on my sleeve kind of person but been doing a lot of soul searching the last few months and moving forward when it comes to dating with a view to relationships I want to still be polite and nice but not so open in the beginning and have some healthy boundaries cos I was pretty tolerant to shitty behaviour due to low self worth. Low self worth is completely different to having confidence in how you look.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in having confidence in how you look, there is also nothing wrong with being confident overall. At the end of the day we all judge our on self worth based on life experiences and if you've had some shit experiences that only you know about then who is anyone to judge anyone else. We all have demons and we all have our own coping mechanisms. No one should have their balls busted for expressing themselves.

Thats like busting on a domestic abuse survivor because they come out the other side a stronger and more confident than person before and want to share and express themselves.

Oh fucking hell. That’s a thread on its own child abandonment issues play a big part, having a father that wasn’t involved at all, as a child it can make you look inward cos you don’t have answers and so you blame yourself and think you’ve done something wrong.

I’ve done a lot healing stuff with meditations and affirmations, done work on healing the inner child. I know now that it wasn’t me that was the issue, It was just that my father was an extremely handsome Italian man slag that knocked my mother up and then was on his way. That could be a reason why I’ve always had a type with guys as well, guys that tend to look like my father did, tall, dark hair, extremely handsome with big eyebrows. Anyone who knows me knows I had a fascination with eyebrows. Plus I’m writing a book so I’ve been all over the web, researching and reading and just doing a lot of evaluation of my behaviour.

I had to put something in so it wasn’t so obvious I was doing a parody thread. The main point I wanted to say was I am completely happy with how I look, and then wait for the negativity. I even told my friend on here before I wrote the thread that I was gonna do it.
