Do you talk to yourself?

I find myself increasingly having conversations with myself if I'm not doing anything that requires any level of concentration like ironing clothes etc. It's usually replaying scenarios that have happend before or when I'm day dreaming. Anyone else?

I do. It's one of the reasons I have pets - I can pass it off as talking to them!

Yes I do, incredibly embarrassing but I just cannot help it, given the stress I have been under lately and the lack of sleep, I think that is the reason as it seems the better night sleep I have, the less it happens

Yeah I do, also I often say 'hello house' when I get home. If I see a spider I talk to that. I have an ugly dog ornament I speak to when I walk past him. I talk to my plants too. Sometimes it's just good to break the silence when ya live on yer own.

Actually this reminds me, my car has a little sensor that beeps when I switch my car off and I've left the headlights. Everytime it beeps to let me know I say 'Thank yoooou'

I regularly sing to my self but don't talk out loud to myself. I have a neighbour who does and its a little creepy at times if he does it while out in the garden.

All the time, it's the best conversation I can usualy get!

On a serious note, we all have an internal monologue. I have lived on my own for years and the monologue developed to the point that I started mumbling. I went to see the Doctor a few years ago (wondering if I was going mad). He asked me what I was saying and since I was just vocalising he told me that it was nothing to worry..........

-HOORAYYY! So, it's not just me! lol. I try to control it, by trying to be aware of it, but I find I am just second guessing myself more.
