Has lockdown improved Fab sociability?

When I first joined this place just over 18 months ago, across all that time I had only four or so ‘Friend’ connections and most of the DM conversations I had lasted a few messages before they petered out.

I left in July this year, but came back in September; in only the last couple of weeks I’ve had eight ‘Friend’ connections and have four ongoing DM conversations, one now over forty messages long.

I’m not doing anything different than before, so it seems like it may be the effect of lockdowns and social distancing making people more open to engaging here. Not knocking it, it’s been great! Had some lovely chats so far

What do you think? Has this year made you more open? Have you noticed any such change here?

I think for some people it has improved sociability.

It's good to chat even virtually

Lockdown made my shag my window cleaner. I hadn’t seen sight or sniff of a man for months and when he came around and was cute I had to have him.

surrounded by twinkly lights

No its made men want to have only sex conversations constantly, I used to like my inane conversations with various strangers, its changed so much that I've changed my looking for to couples only to slow them down

Made me more reclusive I think.

I’m not the chattiest in PM anyway, but I have regular folk I chat to but I’ve even pulled away from that a bit really.

I’ll be honest and say home schooling really boiled my cabbage. I’m doing an under graduate course for work and that’s been pickling my cabbage and I’m just feeling meh.

I need some excitement and life adventures in my life with someone who makes me excited, not sleazy men trying to get their dick wet.

Same for me really, especially your last sentence.

Seems to be the latest thing, men saying they're not meeting because of lockdown but would love to chat instead.

Wank chat.

I started using my Fab profile only about four months ago when I discovered the forums (and it was lockdown and the ongoing covid situation which got me to look at Fab again as I had more free time).

I'm not the most sociable (and am a fairly reclusive) person anyway but because Fab was something new I probably came across as more sociable than I am away from Fab.

I had a quite a few PMs on the go within the first month or so but now the initial 'newness' has worn off I now have only one person I regularly PM with and haven't sent any first PMs for the last two/three months now and am unlikely to in the future.

For me Fab was a replacement for something I used to do which was a bit of excitement in my life. But that initial excitement has mostly worn off - there is still a slight frisson of it though (and I always need a bit of excitement in my life).

In the long run Fab hasn't made me more sociable but I have reverted to being more 'me' on here.

I’m very sociable but covid has killed conversations here from my point of view. Mainly because those I chat with have gone to ground and fab has become a mix of personalities at opposite ends of the scale

I don’t use the site half as much

With what sort of regularity do your windows need cleaning?

Asking for a friend....
