Here’s a frightening thought. This song was number one, closer to before the end of the 2nd World war than today.

Where has the time gone - I still look the same.

"Thanks for that ear worm in my head for today "

Sorry. Not a favourite of mine, I have to turn it off if it comes on the radio.

Not my favourite either, hence I was not impressed by the ear worm

How do you work that one out when it was released in 1984

1945 to 1984 = 39 years.

1984 to 2020 = 36 years

Thought so. I was working in a hospital run by nuns and one was named Eileen.

‘Covid 19, ooooooh, gonna wash my hands clean..... ‘

To the tune of Come on Eileen, you’ll all be singing it now.

They made great music before that bloody song and quite a bit afterwards. Shame they’re remembered mainly for that bloody song.

Just in case you haven’t realised I hate that bloody song (admittedly danced to it loads of times when I was younger)

But what a change in style and fashion, one minute playing soulful tunes in Donkey jackets and Benny hats to wearing dungarees and singing Van Morrison's songs

Could she have been the Eileen they sang about???
