How good are you at apologies?

Are you adult enough to know when you’re wrong?

Do you get someone else to apologise for you, or do you simply not apologise?

Love and Peace

I will always apologise if I realise I'm in the wrong. I make sure I apologise to the kids when necessary too, to teach them that everyone makes mistakes and to acknowledge and apologise for them

Interesting post OP.

Yes, I've been known to apologise on behalf of others too. More often than not it diffuses the situation, may gain more time or better still sorts it.

Demanding an apology rarely satisfies either as one is usually left wondering if it was genuine.

.

I'd like to think I am buuuut I think most people want to think they are.

If I've been a dick guilt kicks in at some point and I'll apologise. Sometimes it kicks in quickly and I'll say sorry. I do the easy thing of apologising for little inconsequential behaviours, you know like when you're walking and someone is walking towards you and you do that quickstep trying to work out which side you should be on? I apologise for that because - British. I have realised that sometimes apologies are more for the one apologising than the one you're apologising too and I try to avoid those ones - if anything I let my actions show that I'm sorry and don't repeat those behaviours.

I don’t get why people would ask you to deliver an apology. If you know you’re in the wrong why can’t they be an adult and say sorry themselves?

If I agreed with someone then we'd both being wrong.

So never really need to apologise hah.

I always apologize genuinely when I know I'm in the wrong... But I will never ever do so if I'm not. I'll always own up to my wrong doings also and never deny them. If a person does me wrong and sincerely apologised all is forgiven

Absolutely, if I'm wrong I'm wrong and my hands will be firmly placed in the air and my shit owned.

For me injustice is something that I struggle to handle at times and I don't like the thought of others feeling the same struggle as I do if I'm the reason. Works both ways so yes, I'll apologise AND I'll mean it.

If I don't mean it, I ain't saying it. And if I don't say it then I don't believe I'm wrong.

I will apologise once if I am in wrong. And will mean it sincerely and with all my heart. But then I need to move past it and not dwell.

I find it really difficult when others constantly apologise for the same thing over and over saying how bad they feel. It’s like I have to make them feel better for being wrong. So frustrating!

I'm awesome at apologies as I'm an expert of cocking things up! I've never minded being wrong even though I'm a natural born researcher so not the easiest person ... and I totally get I'm not infallible!

Don't get me wrong I do try to not get things wrong but I'm also a hotheaded passionate person that's probably a little bit to gung-ho!!
