Or are you still snowed under with big rolls and sanitizer from the last lockdown?

Are you now bored of pasta and baked beans?

No more than usual but to Brit/European standards, I stockpile all the time. Guess it was growing up in a place where stockpiling was part of the religion (I’m not kidding) and houses are built with bunkers (we had one - it came with the house it was used for storing Xmas decorations etc cause we weren’t part of the religion

Not religion, but I grew up in a household where it was normal to have a little extra in the cupboards in case something bad happened. So if that counts as stockpiling, yeah, I've done it for years

On a mooch

Not needed, food will be in the supermarkets, just adapt your meals for what you can actually get.

All I’ll need is fresh fruit / veg, as with each weekly shop I added either a packet of pasta, two tins of soup / beans or veg, cereal, bake as go bread, potted / tinned fruit. All because as a single mum if at any point I had to isolate I wouldn’t need to worry about feeding my lad as we’d have enough in to get through the two weeks and just make meals out of what we have.

"Anybody still baking bread?

Had a very young mummy admit on a local bookface page that thanks to halloween, she has found a use for some of the flour she bought in the earlier lockdown by sprinkling it on her kids costumes/faces etc... upon being questioned by another group member she said she only bought flour because everyone was buying it but didn't know what to use it for ...... the mind really does boggle

"What do you use flour for, I have 200 packets in the cupboard, and i could do with the space for the 900 loo rolls !"

you can mix it with water and paste wallpaper with it.

Sprinkle it on the ground to check for escaped snakes.

Mix it with perfume to make an alternative to talcum powder.

Use it to soak up pet "accidents".

Use it instead of dry shampoo.

I don't believe it myself but some people use it to make cakes, pastries and bread.

Same here, Aldi, Lidl, Tesco and Sainsbury's are all within a 10 minutes walk from me. I just go early doors to avoid any queuing

Ohh I agree. I can't stand it but I had a couple of friends that made some and dropped it over in the last lockdown so obviously I was polite and said I loved it so I think I'm gonna get a couple more loaves of the horrid stuff.

Glasgow - for some bizarre reason the Toilet Paper and Pasta has disappeared from our two local Mo44isons and T3sco stores

Crazy - panic was more than likely caused by Sturgeon creating yet another divide with the "Do not cross the border" announcement !

We are a United Kingdom - "in it together through thick and thin"

You do know that this lockdown is only meant to be a month? All though I guess it's good to prepare for all eventualities and stock up on the necessities.

My only panic buying secret is.... Hair dye and nail polish!!

No room in the freezer and loo roll is in abundance already lol. I'd love to panic buy olives and French bread but don't think that works too well lol x

So here's to home brew and hanging baskets again!! xx
