Fabio, i do believe you have a bit of a prudish vanilla side to you!!! lol

Its funny what we are happy to see in a club, but find off putting in the vanilla world.

My OH and I were on holiday in the south of france on a part of the beach frequented by nudists. Loads of mostly gay guys showing lots of PDA which we found quite sweet. I wonder if we would feel the same way on a british beach with everyone wearing clothes??

One of the reason i hate going to the Eiffel Tower. You will always find someone asking you to take his or her picture whilst kissing the partner.

They all should get a room

I love PDA! Me and Mr are very touchy feely both in public and in private, always holding hands and kissing and cuddling. I love it when I see other people doing the same and looking so happy - there's a lot of misery in this world and it's nice to see people all loved up. But then I am a hopeless romantic at heart.

my opinion is there is a time and a place..

no real objection to it but would think people would consider others around them and judge whether it woudl be ok.

it may be for you but maybe not for everyone else.

sitting on a bench in the shopping centre on a saturday afternoon is , i think a little too much, almost verging on exhibitonism....

likewise for outside old folks home or school.

just be sensible and consider others around you..

Funny that! I feel exactly the same.. Love to see people, obviously in love and showing affection by holding hands, arms round each other and even lightweight kisses.. BUT... Full on snogs are tantamount to having sex in public.. And I don't like dogging either!!!

A friend did tell me that because we hold hands when out and have arms round each other, we are possessive and are warning others to keep clear.. As you can tell, he is NOT one of our inner circle!

"

I don't think so, well not on this one anyway.

I think it's cute to see a couple holding hands and there's nothing wrong with hugs, cuddles and those little kisses.... but trying to eat someone's face is just too far.

There are couples on here who won't kiss the people they play with, because it is too personal.

There are people on here who say they couldn't have sex without snogging as it's an important part of foreplay and sex generally.

So surely it must be seen by many as sexual behaviour rather than purely innocent affection?

I realise it is just my opinion, but I do believe it is the selfish, the ignorant and a few who just aren't right in the head, who force their diplays of sexual behaviour into the public's eye.

Where does affection end and sexual behaviour start... well as a benchmark I'd say, if you can do it to your child in public it is affection. If doing it to your child in public will result in the police being called by a number of witnesses, it's probably crosses the line into sexual.

I am not keen on overt public display of affection, as it makes me feel uncomfortable when I see other people doing it.

Holding hands, cuddling, a gentle kiss etc. are fine.

However, if the hands are allover the place, deep throat French kissing etc., would make me feel uncomfortable.

Different at clubs, of course.

I'm not a fan truth be told.

You see, especially amongst older people, acts of such tenderness and love towards each other it brings a lump to your throat. It's almost covert, a touch of acknowledgement, the sweeping away of hair from the face, a shared smile...all touching and you feel almost voyeuristic.

Then you have the crass, tongue locked moaning, groaning types that stand at the entrance to the train station "showing off" - does nothing but make me go .

What a miserable bunch some of you lot are - so puritanical and so English.

Love makes the world go around and displaying love and affection is a damn sight more honest than being bitchy and two faced - which seems to be the English thing at the moment.

If two people are so in love and so happy with each other - let them show it in whatever way they feel is right for them and not how other people think they should.

Snog on......

I used to feel all cringey and repressed and, well, sort of English about this (I say that affectionately as an English girl!) but now I find it quite lovely... Much better that than rudeness/ aggression etc. and I may be a bit guilty if pda's myself at times, so who am I to judge!
