"Ironically, last I checked, the gender studies department of the University of Sydney had an excellent reputation for their research into masculinity (rather than the outdated notion of gender studies being mostly about women). In theory, Fab would actually be an interesting case study for that sort of specialism." Thus speaketh our Antipodean amigo

"Yes - when I see that Sydney uni bollox on a profile it's a roll eyes moment for me & I immediately lose interest in said person, Can't believe so many people fell for it! " Sometimes it's about 3 times longer than the actual profile itself

"It's for the sheep to put something in their profile because they don't know what to write. The best ones will also include some "legal crap" about Facebook even though this is Fabswingers. " Or American law

"It's an internet social experiment dating back to the early 2000s. A person or group posted it to see if it would catch on. It did. Think fake news before it was given the label. University of Sydney (USyd) have by all accounts never done any research studies using personal data harvested from the internet. It's nearly as ridiculous as the other ones like "Facebook is now a publicly traded company" or the European court reference thing or some other tosh that folks post... In short.... read the terms and conditions of the site, then assume that anything you post on the internet could make its way to the public domain." Oh yes we have
