Always think it feels like putting your boobs inside a nutcracker. Not the most pleasant experience but guess i should be grateful they are still keeping on top of these routine tests during the pandemic.

Had my routine mamogram done a couple of weeks ago. Delayed due to Covid, but done eventually. Quick, painless and a normal result.

Ladies..please check your boobs, and see your GP pronto if you have any concerns. You will still be seen and any concerns investigated x

Not agony but i would say uncomfortable. Feel as if i will be black and blue after although never the case. Maybe more painful as my boobs are small. Think it must be every 2 years after you turn 50 as that is my 2nd one.

Glad to hear people are getting their checks.

I've had breast cancer and have a check up every 6 months usually...my last was in December last year...I'm still waiting due to the backlog

Not invited yet due to my age but I do check mine and good screening is happening at least. None of the ladies routine tests are terribly pleasant

"I've never been for a test.

Please do.."

It's my well informed and thought out decision not to. I'm glad others go though.

Ok..I respect your decision; can I ask is that just for routine screening, or would that extend to investigating any abnormal lumps etc?

I won't go for screening. If I detected any breast changes i'd go for investigation.

The only changes i've got right now is that they look like the ears of a very cold spaniel.

In The Hills

I had one about 18 months ago, I was actually surprised that it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

More fool you. My friend had no changes until it was too late. She died aged 32. Maybe we can see things on the outside but we never know what goes on on the inside.

She wouldn't have been called for screening at age 32.

What made her go for a check up ?

She could not raise her arm one day. Thought she had pulled a muscle.
