I have songs that make me think about someone or somewhere. I believe the people know their song and I know songs that people have for me. Like lady antebellum need you now. What do you have? No need to name or shame lol

I don't relate songs to living people, if I end on bad terms with someone that song would just be ruined & I like music more

Songs are indelibly linked to memories for me; first kiss at a school disco, losing the V Plates, meeting my now ex, even as far as sporting memories.

So the list is:

Victims by Culture Club

Your Latest Trick by Dire Straits

Dizzy - the version by Vic n Bob & the wonderstuff

Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.

I’m not saying which is which though

Music has always been a big part of my life, so quite a few songs can instantly take me to a faraway place and time

You're right OP.

There are songs that make me remember my parents.

However they are local Malay songs.

People here, no.

I tend to associate songs with changes in life or big shifts in emotional state. Sometimes I seek them out to cope

I think it was Rob Fisher that died young not Simon Climie.

I was just having this conversation with someone earlier today. Everytime I hear certain songs they remind me of a certain person or certain time in my life.

It's a nice feeling isn't it? Despite what you went through. Letting go of the negative (if any) and focusing on the good times is a massively helpful step. x *speaking for myself

North Kent

When I hear songs from the 70's and 80's plus soul and motown they remind me off girly weekends to butlins so the majority of songs hold good happy memories
