Well both are a bit shit but pre covid Nottingham has more going for it, nightlife, theatres but really expensive car parking.

Urm Coventry has.... a big Tesco? However somewhere on the outskirts like binley is nice

Nottingham city centre is awesome but some of the suburbs are a bit grim.

Coventry

Well I'll tell you now, Coventry is now shit. No real night life to speak of, full of tower blocks for the Chinese, a council that hasn't a clue......

Think I'd choose Nottingham.

Nottingham every time.

As has been said above, some parts of the suburbs leave a little to be desired but on the whole it's a good place to live and has some cracking people too.....like me

Have you tried the Project Doughnut ones yet? They're epic and he only started it up for something to do when covid kicked in and he was stuck at home.

I love Nottingham so would always vote for there. I don't know anything about Coventry other than usual facts like bombed in the war and The Specials

Agreed about night life in Coventry City Centre. Its been dead for years (although I do love a night out on Craven Street, just outside of the city centre). But Nottingham totally pips it for night life.

Coventry

If motorway access is important then Coventry is a winner. Its right at the heart of the UK motorway network. Also its on the West Coast Mainline with frequent trains North, South. Direct routes to London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Bournemouth and loads more (well maybe a little different at the moment with Covid-19 time tables)

Nottingham, the old legend say women outnumbered men here 10 to 1. Probably not true anymore, but the women certainly keep you on your toes

Oh and for some reason stupidly expensive Hackney cab tariffs. I think Coventry is in the top 10 for most expensive taxis in the UK. I'm always amazed by ow cheap taxis are in comparison in other towns/cities. Thus Uber is killing it in Coventry even though all the Ubers are registered by the councils of other local authorities not by Coventry.

Nottingham. We live in a semi rural location but it only takes about 20 mins to get to the city centre. Best of both.
