It will pass

shits creek

It will.

It all will.

The good, the bad, the loneliness, the smiles.

It's all gonna pass.

Some will pass quietly like a gentle summer breeze, other times it'll be a hurricane leaving you on your knees.

But.... it WILL pass.

Ride the storm and you'll feel the warmth of the sun once more.

Club Meets Only

By the time this passes I'll be too old for anything other than bingo & a blue rinse... Or so it feels, I can't see an end to this at least not for another 12 months

Is that when the Sun becomes a red giant that has swallowed the earth and extends out as far as the orbit of Jupiter?

It is true though, we all get very tied up in the events of now, forgetting that 1 year, 5 years, 10 years ago our lives were different - often markedly so.

Outside of ourselves, how many other lives have flowed through where we live? People who's lives weren't the black and white of photos but we're a full of colour and vibrant with love and struggle and pain and hope as our own? People who loved and argued, fought and worked and struggled and laughed, stories no one remembers - that is all any of us are yet out existence seems so important, our feelings more real than anything else.

This sort thought always makes me think of Carl Sagan's speech about the 'pale blue dot

Mr

Everything passes. We are just living history and one day (many many years in the future) people will look back on this time as we have looked back on previous times.

The clouds bruised and swollen,

Bloated with pain.

The heavens divide and open

And down pours the rain

Beating relentlessly on the rooftops below.

Torrents through gutters and pipes do flow.

Gushing and sloshing rapidly through drains,

Rushing yet washing our sorrow away.

The cold front soon clears and clouds do relent.

Shafts of sunlight, reflections prismatically bent,

Mist rising off fences back up to the sky,

Pavements now steaming as the wet surface dries.

Warmth replaces the hurt of a heart once broken

The sun rays whispering in a voice softly spoken

Never forget when your feeling in pain

There’ll always be sunshine, after the rain.

?

This is the main reason that I have Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles on my play list - sometimes it's nice to have a gentle reminder that the sun will shine again
