If you do infrequent printing then get a laser best move I ever made.

Was forever binning ink jet printers because heads got goosed due to dried in ink. This includes HP which supposedly has the head on the actual replacement cartridge.

Had my Brother laser now for 6 years or so and it's been faultless.

It all depends on what you use it for and how frequently you print

We do quite a bit of printing so went for an Epson which you fill with bottles of ink rather than cartridges. It’s a bit more expensive to buy initially but so much cheaper for the ink.

We have a fairly cheap printer HP that does the job for us. And we pay HP money a month so we dont have to worry about buying ink. They just send us some when were running low.

You end up paying a fee and your allowed to print X amount of pages a month depending on what subscription to pay for.

Its great value if you print a lot of photos

I'd agree with ^^this^^. And if you're not bothered by colour get a Mono laser.

I hardly print and still using an HP Lasetjet 4+ - the 'workhorse' of printers

Ma ex ran off with mine about 8 years ago, she needed it more than I did, but all I remember is that I bought refillable cartridges for it
