How did you meet the love of your life?

Was it very unusual?

I met my last husband when he came to rescue a bird from my chimney. we were together for 13 years on the strength of it.

I met kev on swinging heaven, he came to meet me 3 times, which was a 2 hour drive for him, and each time i bottled out and refused to meet him, because i knew once i had met him there would be no turning back...4th time lucky i did meet him and i was right....6 years later and we are still very much in love

I meet Kid in a nightclub, strange because neither of us are into the club scene, just so happens both of us were on holiday from our individual employers, and the mere fact the only reason we were both there was because the club was doing a midweek promotion, we're still together 21 years later, in fact, we celebrate our 21st anniversary the end of this month, he's my rock, and I'd be lost without him

I met my late partner via an internet community for certain make of cars.

I did not like him at first, as his online persona was rather too forceful and arrogant for my liking.

However, he was very different in real life, and I made him an offer he could not refuse over 4y ago, and had 4 years of happy but turbulent times together.

Plenty of happy memories!

met jane at my first job which was the youth training scheme (yts).she was ever so shy and would write notes and pass them onto me via friends lol.26 yrs on we are still together and very much in love

I met K on her very first day at work, she fancied my boss (well we tried to set her up with him anyway) but she ended up with me and we've now been very happily married for 32 years - wouldn't swap her for anyone, well just occassionally, as long as I get her back lol

Jayne's family moved in across the road from us when I was about 18, and she became friends with my sister.

During the weekends a bunch of lads and lasses used to hang out at our place, the girls chatting in the kitchen and the guys watching videos and yakking in the living room.

One time the girls were messing about, and one said that jayne fancied me, so I asked her out, only to be told she didnt fancy me really!!

Her brother and my sister then hatched a plot.

He told her I wanted to see her in the park, and my sister told me Jayne wanted to see me.

We duly turned up, and after realising we had been set up, I asked her out again.

This time she said yes!

That was 24 and a half years ago.

pete and i were set up on a blind date by my best friends and his best friends who believe it or not are brothers and sisters

anyways we all went out for drinks and a meal and the first thing pete said to me when we all met up was

oh my god those are a fine pair you have there

we have been together for 20 years and i love him to bits even though he drives me nuts sometimes

We met when we were singles on local swingers, that was 2 years ago , we have lived together 18 months now and have recently got engaged. Just shows that you can find love when you least expect it. Happier now than either of us have ever been

Trace came to work on a Decorating scheme I was supervising and that was it.

We've been deeply in love and best friends for 25 years now,trouble is its flown past!

Sadly as a sobering thought,when a couple are in a long term loving relationship there's no such thing as a happy ending.

Sorry about that but Bob Monkhouse wrote something similar regarding his relationship with his wife and its a sentiment I've never forgotten.
