I love but ppl say it’s like dog food. Some say dog food is better? I love the pastry when it’s rose and golden crispy then the doughy layer, then the finale is the gravey boat of meat, like a little trifle of heaven all in a little tin! Mmm I know what I want for dinner now.

"Love em "

The pastry is the best! Love it.

They do a vegan one now too, which isn't quite as good. Want to try the veg balti one but could honestly just have the pastry.

West Wales

I used to love them, now though the topping is still great the filling....Well there isn’t any is there.

Still worth a £1 though if you want something easy that doesn’t require too much washing up. Good workshop food, leave it in the tin with a couple of buttered rolls

Having not grown up in the UK I had to Google these and I have to say I'm intrigued. Not enough to buy one but intrigued all the same

Love them - remind me of happy days as a kid and school lunches, served with roast potatoes, cabbage and loads of gravy. Steak and kidney are the best.

Did Frey Bentos once do tinned curry with the slogan,

No lumps of fat or gristle 100% Guaranteed.

It was impossible to find gristle.. it was 100% reconstituted meat...

Up on them there hills

When L takes the kids to see the grandparents there is one or two magical steak and kidney appear in the cupboards.

Few homemade chips.

One of the two things I get very excited about!
