I find the history of Wicca fascinating. There's a lot of practising witches around weather people believe in them or not, they do exist.

Yep I know it exists.

There is a coven quite close to me, on the Welsh border. They practice in the woods on the mountain of a local beauty spot. I come across their altar once while walking in the forest, ended up off the beaten track.

I mentioned it to a local guy I was quite friendly with and he said a coven of Satanists practise on the mountains and had been for generations.

People into the craft are like swingers, they're your neighbours, your coworkers and unless you know, you'd never know.

Wicca and Witchcraft have nothing to do with Satanism. That was a lie spread in the medieval times to demonify the older religion to the Christian followers.

Infact Satanism is just another side of Christianity. Without Christianity, Satanism could not exist.

That's cool, it's just a thread about Witches and you brought up Santanism so I thought I'd mention it as people often mix the up and call Witches Satanists or devil worshippers.

That started around 1644 . Matthew Hopkins witch finder ,( never titled witch finder general) had over 100 alleged witches executed.

Mrs is

The whole practice of wicca and satanism isn't about evil like so many people think. It's about free will and holding people accountable to their actions rather than them blaming their religion for them being a dick.

From a former Catholic I can vouch for that lol

I have been in public houses and seen witch marks on the fireplace. James the first wrote a book on demonology and I think one called a discovery of witches, has he was obsessed with witchcraft and there was a resurgence of anti witchcraft under his rule. Satanism is linked to Christianity, not wicca as Satan is a Christian belief, personification of evil ??. The devil rides out is a great book and film. A witch can be a man or woman. I love cats so I would have been a target haha ?? for Mathew Hopkins.

The best thing you can do is Google is and read about what a "familiar" means. It's more complicated than just a pet.

I always put a big Christmas stockings out for my cats, and stuff it with treats. My cat has its own basket and cushion to sleep on, and big saucer of milk and food. I had a friend knitted a lovely waist coat to keep her warm, its lovely and she loves wearing it.
