Why, what’s better about it?

I do my rice in a pan, 1 cup o rice, 2 cups of water, Chuck in a handful of frozen veg and a stock pot and simmer for 20mins.

Spoon it out into a hot pan with a splash of olive oil. Stir fry for a few mins adding in a little 50/50 mix of soy&terryaki and done.

Is the rice cooker just quicker? I haven’t used one so that’s why I ask.

Fry the rice in olive oil and garlic until it's golden, then add just enough water to soften the rice when it has evaporated ...soft,fluffy, and very tasty

You do the entire thing in a frying pan

I just add chicken stock to the rice cooker and it's lush

We also regret not getting a rice cooker sooner. The texture is perfect every time

Actually just read that. I do a different type of sticky rice. 1 cup Jasmin rice 1 cup water bring to the boil. Turn off the heat and put a lid on for 10 mins when I take it off it makes the most amazing simple sticky rice

I found the 1 cup of rice 2 cups of water too risky to find 1/2 inch of burnt rice on the bottom.

I use copious amounts of water, testing regularly. When done rinse and serve.

Never had sticky rice, is it just rice that's sticky ?
