I was looking at bengal kittens the other day as I was wanting one at some point, when I spotted a breed called the savannahs... now they are lovely. Certainly not the type of cat you let out as they are rather large.

They are breed from the african Sevals... and the best quality ones are actually half domestic cat and half these african wild cats.

Does anyone on here have any actual experiences with this breed.????

They do look lovely.. but as they range in price from £500- 3000 quid.. I want to do my research.

I already have a few that I rehomed lol... and I am now helping out at the local adoption centre... but only to handle the cats.. Refuse to foster any...

as we used to do that when I was a kid.. and I ended up with 12 or 13 cats lol...

I have looked online but its all the positive stuff... I managed to get hold of a breeder today... and she said it depends on what F rating I get.. but that they all tend to be large, will walk on a lead, play fetch and love water..

but my current cats.. I have two that will play fetch lol

Oh Cali, I read that Skunks are just like cats! they will use a litter tray too, are very cuddly and affectionate AND you cane walk them on a lead

only downside was they need a posh diet...don't think they would appreciate my microwave dinners, but they are sooooo cute!

£3000!!! For a cat!!!! Feck that!!

Aren't they extremely territorial? It will end up scranning the cats you already have!

Apparently a male one will fit in better with my normal moggies..

but three out of my current 4... have bengal in them anyway... ( should hear the racket they make all day)

As they will all be neutered.. I think that they would be okay.

I think they are lovely... and if I had found them before I got my current cats I would have just had one of them instead... my cats are like my kids lol

I was watching a you tube video of one jumping 8ft to catch a toy... but then I measured my little cats today.. and they can jump 4ft and they are only ickle..

I tend to take the view that breeds, that have only recently been domesticated tend to be a bit of a handful, the tameness is only skin-deep and they can turn at any second.

Mind you my cousin who was bobby in the Met, was once called to a council flat, after complaints from the neighbours to find they were keeping a hyena in the spare bedroom. He never run so fast in his life.

There not quite a new breed. In reading up I've found that they have been bred for 18years but are new to the UK...

The most expensive of these cats are half wild cat And half domestic... However you can tame wild cats anyway..

Different breeds behave different... Like mine love water... And are very vocal... Some cats aren't...
