"Which is right....... Red & Green...... or Blue & Green should never be seen? I wanted to change my lounge colours and have Red but dont want to get rid of the big green flower pic. Then somebody at work said... ooohh red n green never to be seen... so it put me right off!!! But somebody else said its Green n Blue. " Get some colour charts and they often have matched shades that are harmonious. Its not just the colours that sometimes don't match its also the shade.

"Thank you for that. I have no pc as of yesterday as it was smelling of burning and then went 'pop'!! So all I have now is my phone. " That's either your power supply or your motherboard.

" It seems to be from the silver boxed in bit where the power lead plugs in the tower.. Unsure if it will be worth getting repaired

"I was taught blue and green as they are closer to each other in the colour spectrum than red and green are to each other. At a distance blue and green blend into each other and you end up with a coagulated mess if you don't pick the right shades, but if you pick dark green and light blue, or light green and dark blue you'll see they are in conflict with each other. Here's a clue to colours: If you have a Paint programme on your pc open it and look at the colour wheel. Pick the colour you like and look across the wheel to see which colour is directly opposite from it - that's the colour best suited to the one you've chosen, and for red - it's opposing colour is blue." Opposites contrast.... use thirds to compliment and sections of 3 to blend

"I think anything goes IF you get the shades right.... easier said than done I know, but nature manages to mix things beautifully " Indeed - it is the tint and whether the colours are warm or cold that determines whether they look good next to each other, on many occasions anyway
