Why people need to lie?

Why do people still to this day need to lie just be honest with yourself and if they don't like it they don't like it simples!!!

Probably aren’t bothered about the truth, or you aren’t worth the time/effort in order for them to tell you whatever truth is so just fob you of with a lie to get on with their life and unwanted conversations

I don't think evolution is ever going to breed out telling fibs, most of us lie to a certain degree like telling someone that you don't want to see that you're busy or whatever. Some people tell ridiculous lies though and look a bit silly when they get caught out.

Age old question and one that the answer varies massively on depending the person/ situation. I don't condone lying in the slightest but I'm not going to tell my 5 year old that father Christmas isn't real. As for adults lying, sometimes it could be out of love/protection/thinking they were doing the right thing, most of the time though, they are just arseholes that wouldn't know the truth if it smacked them in the face with a fucking garden spade.
