BRIDPORT

Just heard on the wireless Spencer Davis has died.

Sad, his band did some crackin’ tunes.

Keep on Running is a favourite of mine.

They broke up before I (Luke) was born but I got into them because I like Steve Winwood.

They had some big hits hits like Keep on Running, I'm a Man and the great Gimme Some Lovin' as well as many largely forgotten ones. I've never been into much 60s stuff but I really liked them.

I seem to remember that the theme song from The Royal was one of theirs. Was that Somebody Help Me?

That's very sad news, he was a great musician leading a marvellous band.

"Gimme Some Lovin'" is my favourite,

I saw Steve Winwood performing it wit Eric Clapton a couple of years ago and it was great
